The race Panteras and Mangustas are so much better. The Motul gr4 Pantera is my favorite. I should have bought a Pantera when they were cheapish, but I didn’t have money in high school and college! I used to work at the city water district in college during the summer and the fleet mechanic had a red Pantera.

Mangustas are so extremely attractive. It seems they are not such a good drive (weight distribution way too biased to the rear) but who cares: the Mangusta is just a wonderful piece of mechanical sculpture.

Together with the Montreal, one of those cars I wouldn’t mind having in the centre of my living room. (With occasional wild jaunts to the outside world, of course.)

Yeah they shot up like the air cooled Porsches. Considering they have an American powerplant a Pantera is a great car to have, if I were someone in the market for a new 911 level of car I would get a Pantera and get some group 4 flares and wheels.

Its just one of those cars where you don’t have some stigma tied to who might own it or the car itself IMO.

(well maybe some people might think it would be some kit car at first if no one told them what it was but I mean that happened to Saleen S7's.)

Agreed. Though I bet most people would probably think it was just some random ‘80s supercar (oh thats a Ferrari Lamborghini etc)
